Recreation
The Town of Cloverland has many public access for on water recreation to fish and swim on the various lakes and rivers that are located within the Town. Other off water recreational opportunities also exist and include hunting, ATV and UTV trail riding, snowmobile trail riding, and other motorized and non-motorized trails within the Vilas County Forest. To ensure your enjoyment of these recreational opportunities, as well as all the other residents of the Town, be sure you familiarize yourself with the Town of Cloverland's ordinances regarding Watercraft Lake use, Snowmobiles, and ATV/UTV's
ATV, UTV, and Snowmobile Trails
The Town of Cloverland also has many recreational trails located within its boundaries. There are also other trails located within the Vilas County Forest too.
When using any of the trails within the Town, please be respectful of others and their property and do not consume alcohol before or during operation of any motorized vehicle, ATV, UTV, boat, or snowmobile. Do not litter or vandalize any of the areas or facilities that exist here and be sure to leave them in the same or better condition when you leave. It is up to all of us to preserve these and other recreational opportunities for future generations.
Vilas County Forest Trails and Lake Recreation
Several lakes have public boat landings or public access points for visitors and residents of the Town of Cloverland. The Vilas County Forest can also be accessed from various areas within the Town too. Vilas County has a new app called Map It for your phone that you can use to plan your trail experiences. The app covers all available trails within Vilas County, and is available for Android and iPhones. Get Map It and start planning your nature adventure. If you prefer not to use a phone app, you can get information about all of Vilas Country trails and trail access at the Vilas County Forestry Department in Eagle River, Wisconsin.
